| Hola!!!!! Deixo unes quantes preguntes que li van fer a l'Strify al mes de desembre: How many songs on the album did you write?
I wrote a lot together with Michelle Leonard. I appreciate her as songwriter as well as a good friend of mine.
We have a wonderful connection that brings forth great songs again and again. One evening, I visited her in Cologne, we drank two bottles of wine together and at the same time wrote the lyrics for a song that will make it onto the album for sure. All in all I co-wrote definitely a dozen songs, not all of which made it onto the album in the end though. And even now I have a lot of ideas for new material again – even if the songwriting phase is long gone.
You're very good at English – do you speak a lot of English at home or did it rather develop due to your working for/with Cinema Bizarre?
Already at school I've always been very ambitious when it came to English. It's by far not as perfect as I would like it to be, but I'm still working on it. Only that I don't really have to swot anymore now but rather have to face the challenge of acting independently and actively get to experience English. I always knew I would need English in the future and it pays off now. What is more, I like to watch films and serials in the original language because a lot of the jokes get lost due to the translation.
I read somewhere that the TOYZ-tour could possibly bring you to Japan – are there really such plans?
Who knows what the future holds for us? Should Japan happen to be interested, I'd be all for it.
How does it feel to have your picture taken by the photographer who already took pictures of stars like the guys from the GazettE?
Actually, I don't care who he/she already took pictures of as long as the photos are any good. In the end, that's what it all comes down to. I always take a look at the work the person we work with has done before and judge the work rather than the people in the pictures. If it's good work, it's a nice plus factor to know that other people appreciate the photographer's skills as well.
Do you prefer to celebrate Christmas the traditional way with tree, Stollen, cookies and family or do you like it a bit more "bizarre" sometimes?
At the moment I'm glad that Christmas is far away again and that I don't have to think about it anymore. That should say it all, doesn't it? 
Can you, in addition to the singing, play an instrument?
No, unfortunately I still don't, whereas I resolved to start learning how to play the piano or synthesizer respectively.
Where would you rather spend two weeks of Christmas/winter holidays, on a beautiful sunny island or snowed up in the mountains?
Depends on who I'm with.
Do you see a difference between German fans and fans from abroad?
There are definitely different mentalities in the all different countries. However, when it comes to music, they all have the same energy. They are different indeed, but at the same time very much the same somehow.
Would you ever play a concert for charity?
Depends on the context of the whole thing. But basically, yes.
Which wax work did you like most?
What fascinates me most is that the figures truly look like the original and how true to detail they were made.
Some are better than others. When I was in London a few years ago, I liked Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears best.
Would you leave Cineme Bizarre because of a certain person?
Definitely not because of a relationship or a love. What kind of love is that supposed to be when you have to give up on yourself or refrain from doing something?
So far, every effort to have a relationship didn't work out in the last few months because many people have an issue with my job. If that's the reason why it doesn't work, it's not worth it anyway. Actually, living as a single is not bad and I can enjoy the liberties I have.
Is there anything you always have to think about?
Sure. But I forgot about it just now.
Did anything funny happen to you on tour?
That's something you definitely know better than I do.
What would you miss without Cinema Bizarre?
The boys for sure, even if they wouldn't be far off. I'd try to continue with music, to perform and to gain ground somewhere. But the time together with the boys now is definitely one-of-a-kind. | |
